Recipe: Beer’s Best Friend Cookies

February 4, 2010 § Leave a comment

Last weekend I made “Beer’s Best Friend Cookies” that turned out very well and were remarkably popular…here is the recipe tweaked from this one. The sweet n’ salty combo is amazing.

Beer’s Best Friend Cookies

3/4 cup butter
1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar (I mixed half white sugar and half brown)
2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans
  1. Preheat oven to 350*F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl cream butter with brown sugar; add milk and vanilla. Blend until creamy. Add egg and blend well.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Stir in chocolate chips and chopped pecans. Drop by teaspoons onto cookie sheets. Place a mini pretzel on top of each cookie and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.

Makes 24 cookies.
