Breakfast Flaugnarde

January 21, 2010 § 1 Comment

Oh. my. goodness. On Monday I threw together a breakfast concoction called “oatmeal breakfast clafoutis”. I was dubious as to whether it would actually be worth my while. My efforts were well-rewarded: breakfast each morning has been a delicious experience! Breakfast clafoutis, which I discovered should technically be called “breakfast flaugnarde” because of the absence of cherries, is  a hearty and amazing breakfast oatmeal-and-fruit-flan.

You can find the recipe here. I mixed mine with an apple, a banana, dried cranberries, raisins, walnuts and pecans. One of the best things about it is that you can freeze individual portions and simply pop them into the microwave for a minute and a half. Top your breakfast with some vanilla yogurt and miam miam!  Heaven.
