Feast of the Presentation

After a very quiet commute with four tired people in the car, we went to Mass for the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord early this morning. Not only was the celebration quite festive, with the white vestments symbolizing joy and two priests concelebrating, but the lector was also the one who happens to be my favorite. His name is Emmanuel and he is from Nigeria, so his voice is incidentally awesome. Sadly, Monsignor did not deliver one of his famous homilies. One can’t have everything.
Things are already hopping at work, my mini-United Nations. India, Singapore, China, and Korea have already been represented this morning at the coffee machine, and I learned something about Korean history that I didn’t know when I woke up this morning.
I will be heading downstairs very soon to take up my post at the copy machine, copying lab notebooks for three hours straight. At the behest of the DF (dear friend), I have decided to henceforth refer to the copier as Stanley. Stanley and I are going to get to know each other very well over the next few months.
Happy Feast of the Presentation of the Lord!
