Stonehenge

April 30, 2007 § 6 Comments

Silent reverberations of a shrouded age

Deafening in their demand for reverence.

A circle of stones standing guard

Over a tabernacle void and empty.

Visitors hushed; not a sound is heard

Echoing through the tombs of kings

Buried near, perpetual pilgrims.
