For most of the day yesterday, I was upset after a friend of mine expressed a great deal of agitation over an upcoming trial of some kind. I was given no more information than that, but I was worried and went (as is my habit) to the Shrine after work to pray. I knelt awhile and prayed, asking for strength for my friend as well as strength for myself to be a good friend. Feeling like it was difficult to pray directly to Our Lord, I went to His mother and asked her intercession. Soon I calmed down and felt some peace.
As I was leaving the church, I found a lone rose petal lying in the middle of the floor…sure, there are a million reasons why it would have been there, but it was a moment of grace for me. I knew the Mystical Rose, Mary, was telling me that everything was going to be alright. She heard me and was taking care of things as only a mother can.

Thank you, Mother Mary. And please thank your Son for me, for I know that any thanks I could give Him are paltry in comparison.

This week, I’ve posted a Chris de Burgh playlist in honor of my friend D. Chris is his favorite artist, aside from Andrea Bocelli of course.
Now if I can get my act together, HOPEFULLY I can post a playlist of Bach’s St. Matthew Passion next week. Keep your fingers crossed.
Oh, and check out the new quote from Mother Theresa on the sidebar…
